Die sch\u00f6nen Str\u00e4nde von Hurghada geh\u00f6ren zu einer langen Strandkette, die im Norden bei El Gouna beginnt und sich bis zur Soma Bay, etwa 40 km s\u00fcdlich von Hurghada, erstreckt; 20 km davon z\u00e4hlen zu den Str\u00e4nden Hurghadas. Hurghada ist der ideale Aufenthaltsort f\u00fcr einen erholsamen Bade- und Tauchurlaub am Roten Meer. Hurghada liegt an einem Kap, dem etwa 30 kleine Inseln vorgelagert sind, welche hervorragende Tauchgr\u00fcnde bieten. Dank der guten Wassertemperaturen konnte sich eine fantastische Unterwasserflora und -fauna entwickeln. Auch Windsurfer und Segler kommen hier auf ihre Kosten.<\/p>\n<p>Hurghada ist von der Arabischen W\u00fcste umgeben; von hier f\u00fchren Stra\u00dfen nach Kairo, Luxor und Suez. Wer die Jahrtausende alten Kulturst\u00e4tten \u00c4gyptens kennenlernen m\u00f6chte, kann von Hurghada aus Ausflugsfahrten nutzen und einen oder zwei Tage in Kairo oder Luxor verbringen und das Niltal erkunden.<\/p>\n<p>Ad-Dahar bildet den alten Ortskern im Norden der Stadt und gilt als die Altstadt Hurghadas. Hier kann man einen orientalischen Basar mit typischen Souvenirl\u00e4den und historischen Geb\u00e4uden besuchen und das \u00e4gyptische Leben kennenlernen.<\/p>\n<p>In Ad-Dahar befinden sich ebenfalls die koptische St.-Schinuda-Vater-derEremiten-Kirche mit einem Informationszentrum und ein kleines Aquarium, das endemische Fischarten zeigt.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Sakkala ist der touristische Stadtteil Hurghadas mit zahlreichen Hotels, Restaurants, Bars, Caf\u00e9s, Gesch\u00e4ften und einem Yachthafen. Im Ortsteil Al-Ahiaa, n\u00f6rdlich von Ad-Dahar gelegen, finden sich viele Pauschal- und Luxushotels.
