Medical care in Bulgaria is not comparable to that in Germany. The training of the doctors in the large hospitals can be described as good. However, modern medical equipment is more likely to be found in private clinics. Many of the medicines commonly used in Germany are available in Bulgarian pharmacies. Medical care is available to you around the clock in the emergency stations of the individual seaside resorts. Baden
In general: Please follow the regulations of the rescue service and pay attention to the flags on the beach:

Buses run regularly to Burgas and other places in the area. You can get information at the reception. Unfortunately, thefts/pickpockets are increasing on the buses. Therefore, pay special attention to your valuables.

Opening hours
Banks: Monday to Friday from 09:00 - 15:00 h, exchange offices until 20:00 h.

Shopping centers: In the holiday resorts, mini markets and kiosks in particular are usually open longer in the evenings and also on weekends.

Language
The Bulgarian alphabet has 30 letters and uses Cyrillic characters. They go back to the brothers Cyrill and Method, who compiled the Slavic alphabet around the year 855.
road and traffic
The general road conditions in Bulgaria are good, there are many new petrol stations. The maximum speed on the motorway is 120 km/h, in built-up areas 50 km/h and on country roads 80 km/h. The 0,5 per thousand limit applies. Telephoning while driving is prohibited, and seatbelts are compulsory. Taxi
Taxis are signposted in yellow and have a taximeter. Negotiate the price beforehand anyway.

You can easily make phone calls from your hotel. Area code for Germany is 0049. This is followed by the area code without the 0. Area code for Austria: 0043, area code for Switzerland: 0041. You can make cheaper calls with telephone cards or at the post office.
Drinking water
You can safely use the tap water to brush your teeth and take pills. For drinking, however, we recommend that you get mineral water.
newspapers
German newspapers and magazines are available at kiosks and most hotel receptions.
time difference
Bulgaria is always one hour ahead of Central European Time. The changeover to daylight saving time and the change back in autumn take place on the same days as across Europe.
