Description
City with culture and Greek joie de vivre
Don't miss the opportunity to join the trip to Thessaloniki to get to know the capital of northern Greece better.
In the busy shopping streets you will find numerous modern and affordable shops. The rich heritage of Byzantine, Roman and Ottoman cultures that you will encounter at every corner of the city is of great interest.
After your arrival in Thessaloniki, the city tour begins. You visit the picturesque old town with a photo break at the citadel, where the city lies at your feet. You drive through the old town to the church of Saint Dimitrios, the patron saint of the city. The tour then continues to Rotonta and the Arch of Galerius (Kamara). Then continue along the well-known Egnatia Street to the popular Tsimiski shopping street, where you will reach the central square of Thessaloniki, Aristotle Square.
Afterwards you have time to stroll around as you wish. Visit the modern shops, enjoy a coffee on the harbor promenade and, as a tip: visit the old bazaar on the corner of Egnatia and Aristotelous Street in the old craftsmen's quarter.
Before leaving the city, you have the opportunity to take a mini-cruise to the Thermaic Gulf and enjoy a coffee or wine there.
The meeting point for the return journey is the White Tower, the city's landmark. The time will be announced by the tour guide to begin the return journey to the hotel.
