Description
Highlights of your vacation island
You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and set off in an air-conditioned coach (or minibus, depending on demand).
Along the coast you pass the archaeological site Meninx to the Roman dam - Djerba's most important connection to the mainland. After a short photo break, the next stop is a pottery in the pottery village of Guellala.
In the museum of Guellala you will then get an insight into the traditions and customs of your holiday island and the rest of Tunisia. A lot of attention to detail was put into the design of the museum - simply worth seeing!
Afterwards, the synagogue “La Ghriba” awaits your visit (except on Jewish holidays, when entry is not permitted and this stop is skipped). Please observe the dress code.
The onward journey takes you to Erriadh, the artists' village of Djerba Hood. Together with your guide, you will take a long walk through this extraordinary open-air museum. Here you can admire some of the work of more than a hundred artists from around the world. A lot of new works of art are currently being worked on there - so it's worth a visit, even if you think you've already seen it all!
Well strengthened from lunch, you have free time in the island's capital, Houmt Souk, to stroll or have a coffee.
A little thrill at the end? Marvel at adult crocodiles and other reptiles up close in the “Djerba Explore” theme park and learn a lot about Tunisian culture on a short walk through the park and the integrated museum.
