Discover the hidden sides of the island
Experience Fuerteventura off the beaten track – in a comfortable minibus with a maximum of 8 passengers. Avoid long travel times, avoid mass tourism, and enjoy many exciting insights into authentic island life.
After being picked up from your hotel in the south, we begin our journey to the largest town in the south: Gran Tarajal. On a short walk, you'll discover the daily life of the locals and one of the island's characteristic dark beaches.
Afterwards, we will head to the center of the island to an aloe vera factory, where you will learn more about local production and the healing properties of this special plant.
The tour continues to Los Valles de Ortega, where you will get to know two different types of mills in Fuerteventura – a piece of traditional island history.
A highlight of the day is the stop at the Corral de Guize viewpoint at an altitude of 600 meters before reaching the historic heart of the island: Betancuria, Fuerteventura's first capital. Here you'll have time to explore this charming village on your own.
The tour continues through the green Valley of the 1000 Palms, via Vega de Río Palmas and spectacular serpentines to Pájara, where you will find great photo opportunities such as the famous “Aztec Portal” and have the opportunity to have something to eat or drink.
After another photo stop at the Tenería de Mezquez (former leather tannery and water pump), we drive to the Mirador Astronomico Sicasumbre. Enjoy panoramic views of the Elephant Mountains and the southern tip of the island.
Finally, we visit the rugged west coast at La Pared – here you will experience the impressive surf of the Atlantic, the geological natural monument “El Jurado” and interesting rock layers that tell the story of the island’s formation.
