Description
What can you do in Fuerteventura with children? How about a goat family hike!
Highlights are the guided hike, the typical local picnic and the decorated and painted natural materials.
Children love to be outside and to move freely. Bringing children and animals together is fun and has a positive impact on their awareness of nature. In the last year the young goats Turbo, Feli and Pintas have been taught a lot. As trained migratory goats, they are used to communicating with humans and love to be the main protagonists of the goat outing. On a guided hike, you walk slowly 2,5 km. The animals sometimes run free and sometimes on a leash. Goats love to eat all day long. That's why this tour is animal-friendly, because the four-legged friends have time to have breakfast outside.
You walk through a dry river bed lined with palm trees, cacti and old fields. The soil consists mainly of sand, stones and gravel. The guide tells interesting stories about the goats, the country and the people.
This route does not contain any inclines and is therefore easy to manage for grandma and grandpa or parents with small children.
After the walk with the animals, a small picnic is offered on a terrace. Goat cheese is typical of Fuerteventura. For the children there is juice, fruit, goat cheese and the homemade Pella de Gofio. The parents enjoy the delicious cheese with a good glass of red wine.
