Description
Discover the history of the Canary Islands with every pedal stroke.
This e-bike tour is ideal for anyone who wants to discover a lesser-known side of Gran Canaria.
You will drive through quiet valleys, visit ancient cave dwellings and explore one of the most beautiful historical places on the island.
The route
We start at our bicycle shop in Playa del Inglés.
From there, a shuttle will take us to Telde, where our tour begins.
Our first stop is at Cuatro Puertas – an impressive cave complex that provides an insight into the life of the island's original inhabitants.
Then the journey continues into the tranquil Guayadeque Valley.
The incline increases, but with electric assistance, pedaling feels very easy.
Along the way, flowering almond trees line the road.
Once we reach the top, we take a break to enjoy the panoramic view:
the valley below us, the winding road and the vast blue of the Atlantic.
We then roll down to the historic town of Agüimes, where we enjoy a traditional Canarian tapas lunch in a local restaurant.
After the meal, the journey back to Playa del Inglés takes you along quiet streets and coastal paths – accompanied by the sea breeze and many new impressions.
