Description
Get to know the sunny island of Gran Canaria
You drive through the diverse mountains (Grand Canyon) past the valley of a thousand palm trees to the rustic mountain village of Fataga. Here you will visit an aloe vera plantation and get an insight into the cultivation of this native plant.
Passing the Mandelbaumstraße, the path continues to Tejeda. You will discover the two sacred mountains of the Guanches, the Roque Nublo and the Roque Bentayga.
From Tejeda you drive to the highest cave mountain village of Artenara. There you will visit the cave chapel of Fatima.
From Artenara you will discover an impressive landscape, because this is the oldest part of the island.
Afterwards you drive to the Pinos de Galdar crater, which owes its name to the centuries-old pine trees on the crater rim. Here you can enjoy a view from Punta de Sardinas to Las Palmas.
We then head through the evergreen north to the town of Valleseco, where we also have lunch (optional, payable locally).
Finally, visit the pilgrimage site of Teror. There you will discover the traditional architecture of the place with its famous wooden balconies.
At the end of the tour of the island, it goes via Arucas and past Las Palmas back to the respective hotels or starting points.
