Description
You can take a trip of a special kind with the "Golden Shark" diving boat, which is anchored in the port of Puerto Mogan.
The submarine itself, which was built in Finland, is 18 m long, 4 m wide, weighs 103 t and is powered by six state-of-the-art electric motors, each with 20 hp.
The dive lasts about 40 minutes and runs at a depth of 18-20 m. It leads along the artificial coral reefs "La Atlantida" and two fishing boats that sank in this region many years ago. The artificial reef was created to regenerate the seabed in a protected area of approximately 3000 m² with the aim of creating a true sanctuary for fish and other sea creatures. For this reason, the diving trips are limited and are monitored accordingly.
After surfacing, you still have free time in the beautiful port "Puerto Mogan", with its small streets, shops, cafes and restaurants.
Important note: The excursion takes place three times a day (morning, lunch, afternoon - depending on availability in the respective hotel zone) between 10:00 and 18:00 h (total excursion duration approx. 3 hours). The excursion includes the approximately 40-minute submarine ride and free time in the harbor of Puerto de Mogán.
