Between Almyros and Agios Spyridon, on the north coast of the island, there is a beautiful nature reserve. The refreshing breeze of the north wind is particularly appreciated here in midsummer. There are lonely sections along the almost 13 kilometers long, sometimes narrow sand and pebble beaches.
Acharavi
The former fishing village of Acharavi is 36 kilometers from Corfu Town and was only discovered for tourism at a late stage. In Acharavi there are hardly any larger hotel complexes to this day, but mostly guesthouses, holiday homes, small hotels, apartment complexes and spacious hotels with architecture that is compatible with the landscape. The highlight of the place is the approximately seven kilometers long, gently sloping natural beach Almyros with a wide range of water sports. There are supermarkets, shops, bars, taverns and discos along the main street. Shops and nightlife options can also be found in the town center, around the old water pump.
Stem
The former fishing village is located on a narrow, almost six kilometers long sand and pebble beach. The sports offer includes water skiing, paragliding, beach volleyball and horse riding. Roda also offers cozy taverns, cafes and pubs, mini markets and a small pedestrian zone.
Sidari and Cape Drastis
The lively tourist town of Sidari on the north coast of Corfu delights its guests with a long sandy beach and good swimming and water sports. The town center with the single-lane thoroughfare offers hotels, souvenir shops, taverns and bars. At the end of the long sandy beach is the Canal d'Amour, a natural rock tunnel about 20 meters long that connects two small bays. According to legend, the wedding bells will soon ring for lovers who swim through it.
Near Sidari and the village of Peroulades is Cape Drastis. The northwesternmost point of the island is characterized by impressive limestone formations that stretch along many small bays. Here you will find one of the most beautiful places on the island to enjoy the sunset.
