Description
This area, which has undergone many different historical changes over the centuries, is still a meeting point of cultures and religions. The traces are still clearly visible today.
Drive along the Makarska Riviera, then inland through the scenic delta of the Neretva River to Mostar. During Turkish rule, the city on the banks of the river developed into an important trading center on caravan routes.
A guided tour will show you the highlights of the city: you will visit the oriental part of the city with the old bazaar, full of picturesque shops and workshops. Walk past the mosque and a typical Turkish house along the legendary 16th-century Turkish bridge, after which the city was named (bridge = most; Mostar).
In the late afternoon you leave Mostar and start the journey back to the hotels.
