It is called “Ljekarna” in Croatian and is usually marked with a green cross. You can always find out where to find the nearest pharmacy at the reception of your hotel.
Banks / Pay
Most banks are open weekdays from 07 to XNUMX:00 up to 19:00 and on Saturdays from 07:00 up to 13:00 h open. The network of ATMs in Croatia is wide. In all cities, on the islands, as well as in small holiday resorts, cash can be withdrawn in the national currency with an EC card or credit card.
In Croatia, paying with EC and credit cards is widespread. Hotels, restaurants, shops and petrol stations prefer Maestro cards as well as Visa, Master Card and Diners Club credit cards. A standard bank card is also accepted in most cases.
Bus
Bus is the most common form of public transport in Croatia. The country has a large network of long-distance, international and intercity buses. Delays may occur during the summer season due to heavy traffic. Pets are not allowed on the buses. During the summer season, it is usually not possible to take your bike on the bus. Please ask at the reception of your hotel about the next stop and the departure times.

Business Hours / Opening Hours
Most shops in the resort are closed on weekdays 08:00 to 20:00 h open. Saturdays and Sundays to 14:00 or 15:00 h (in the season also longer). Authorities and offices in Croatia work from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00 h.
Rental car
Car rentals are available in all major resorts. The minimum deposit is 800€. The amount of the deposit depends on the class of the vehicle rented.
Post
Most post offices in Croatia are open during the week from 07:00 up to 19:00 h (but some close for lunch), in smaller places they are from 07:00 up to 14:00 h open.

Speed limits in Croatia
A maximum speed of 50 km/h applies in built-up areas and a maximum speed of 90 km/h outside of built-up areas. You can drive on expressways at 110 km/h and on motorways at up to 130 km/h. In Croatia there is a blood alcohol limit of 0,5 per mille. However, for novice drivers, drivers of vehicles over 3,5t and professional drivers such as taxi drivers, the blood alcohol level is 0,0. If you are checked by the police with 0,5 per mille, the fine is at least €90.
Tip
Tips of around 10% of the invoice amount are generally customary.
