A little insider tip

Near the coastal town of Porto da Cruz, a levada awaits you, winding its way along agricultural fields amidst lush vegetation. Ferns, calla lilies, and hydrangeas line this unique canal system.

The peace, seclusion, and unique view of the 580-meter-high Eagle Rock (Penha de Aguia) make this hike a truly special experience. On a clear day, the view even extends to the neighboring island of Porto Santo.
