Description

A little insider tip

Near the seaside town of Porto da Cruz, a levada awaits you along agricultural fields amidst lush vegetation. Ferns, callas and hydrangeas line the unique canal system. The peace, seclusion and the unique view of the 580 m high Eagle Rock (Penha de Aguia) make this hike a very special experience. On a clear day, this even extends to the sister island of Porto Santo.
