Description
Embark on an unforgettable day trip to two of Mallorca's most impressive natural wonders – the Cuevas dels Hams and the Cuevas del Drach, both located near the picturesque coastal town of Porto Cristo.
The tour begins with a visit to the Cuevas dels Hams, known for their unusual, hook-shaped rock formations. The tour begins at the Cueva Redonda, an idyllic botanical garden once covered by the sea. You'll then delve into the fascinating underground world, where modern LED lighting artfully highlights the unique structures, creating an almost surreal atmosphere.
Highlights include the Blue Grotto, the Blue Columns, and the impressive Hell's Shaft, where light and shadow play mysteriously together. A special experience is the audiovisual show "Genesis," in which the history of life—from the Big Bang to the present day—is impressively projected onto the ancient rock walls.
Afterwards, we continue to Porto Cristo, where you will have free time to stroll along the harbor, relax in a café, enjoy the sea, or – if the weather is good – even take a refreshing swim.
The day continues with a visit to the famous Cuevas del Drach – one of the largest and most spectacular cave systems on the island. The four interconnected caves reach depths of up to 25 meters and are home to Lake Martel, one of the longest underground lakes in the world.
During the approximately one-hour guided tour, you'll admire the impressive stalactites and stalagmites, formed by water over the centuries. The tour culminates with a live classical concert performed by a string quartet on a boat directly on the lake – a unique, atmospheric moment. Those who wish can even take a short boat ride across the lake afterward to admire the fascinating rock formations up close.
This tour combines nature, geology and culture in a special way and reveals a hidden side of Mallorca that few visitors get to see.
