Medical help
No matter where on Rhodes you enjoy your holiday, in an emergency you can get medical care. We recommend professional clinics and doctors, some of whom also speak German. In an emergency, please contact the reception of your hotel or your tour guide.
If you have taken out health insurance abroad, ask for a receipt for all medical treatment, which you can submit to the insurance company after you return from your trip. We recommend guests without international health insurance to contact their health insurance company in Germany with the bill, which will usually reimburse part of the costs.
Please note: At EUROMEDICA and Rhodos Medical Care, treatment is only possible with private international health insurance or against cash payment.
Pharmacy
In Greece it is called Farmakion and can be recognized by the green cross in the white field. The opening times correspond to the general business hours (exception: Wednesday evening is closed). If you need medication at night, on Sundays or public holidays, ask at the reception of your hotel. In addition, the emergency duty roster is posted in every pharmacy.
Banks
The opening hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 - 14:00 h. You can withdraw money with your credit card (Eurocard, American Express, Visa) 24 hours a day at some ATMs in the resorts. Your passport or ID card is required when cashing travelers cheques.
Filming & photography
It can be photographed anywhere (exception: military objects). Filming and photography in archaeological sites and museums is permitted under certain conditions and usually for a fee. Please note the respective information. If you wish to photograph people, please ask permission. Only in rare cases will one react dismissively.

Greek Orthodox in Evangelismos Church, Roman Catholic in Santa Maria Church and St. Francis Church, Protestant in the Evangelical Center on Papalouka Street.
Business hours
Usually from 09:00 - 13:00 and from 17:00-21:00 h, is closed on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. The shops in the tourist center are often open later and also on weekends.

Kreditkarten
Major credit cards are accepted in almost all shops. If you lose your credit card, you should have it blocked. The general blocking emergency number for all major German credit cards is +49 116116. If you have any problems or require information, please contact your tour guide.
Public buses
The central bus stop in Rhodes Town is located at the new market hall. For more information, please contact your hotel reception.
Local time
Greece uses Eastern European time, which is one hour ahead of Central European time.
Parking
The blue-bordered parking spaces can only be used for a fee. White-bordered parking spaces mean that free parking is possible. Yellow lines indicate that parking is not allowed there. The penalties for wrong parking can be very high.

gas stations
Please inquire in advance what fuel your rental car requires. Petrol stations are open weekdays from 07:00 - 19:00 h open. On Sundays there are only a few stand-by gas stations on each coast.
Tip
Whether and how much you tip is up to you, 10% of the bill is usual. A tip: tip the hotel staff who look after you during your stay. For excursions, the bus drivers are happy about a fee. When driving a taxi, it is customary to round up the amount.
