This is where antiquity and modernity meet
The ancient city of Selge is located about 55 kilometers northwest of Side at an altitude of 1.250 meters in the Taurus Mountains. Its founder is said to be the seer Calchas.
It was once one of the most important cities in Pisidia and a leader in the trade of wine, olives, ointments and aromatic essences. The amphitheater is the most important relic of the excavation site.
Not far from Selge is the Köprülü National Park, named after the river that meanders through it, making it an ideal place for rafting.
The well-preserved Roman bridge is particularly worth seeing. It is also the only way to cross the Köprülü Canyon.
