Recreation and entertainment are close together here
The southeast of the island differs significantly from the rest of the island in terms of landscape and vegetation. Long sandy beaches of excellent quality stretch just 32 km east of Larnaca. The flat hills and the fertile, red soil in which a large part of the Cypriot agricultural export products grow, especially potatoes, are also typical. There is also another typical feature associated with agriculture that can only be found in this area: the windmills.
The turquoise water, the long beaches and all kinds of water sports attract visitors of all ages to these resorts. Because of the relatively flat area, cycling and hiking are not strenuous.
Ayia Napa, which translates as "Sacred Forest", is known for its golden sandy beaches. The center of the village is formed by a medieval monastery with a beautiful inner courtyard around an octagonal fountain.
A picturesque harbor with cozy taverns and restaurants as well as a pedestrian zone invite you to linger. The road by the sea leads east to the rocky Cape Greco, from where you can enjoy the best view of the turquoise blue sea and the bay of Ayia Napa.
Since the division (1974), Ayia Napa has blossomed from a small fishing village into a varied holiday destination. In the center you will find numerous entertainment options.
There is both: relaxation and entertainment. You can also enjoy the most beautiful beaches on the island to the full. Well-developed bicycle and walking paths connect Ayia Napa with Protaras.
