Einen Ausflug der besonderen Art k\u00f6nnen sie mit dem Tauchboot \u201eGolden Shark\u201c unternehmen, welches im Hafen von Puerto Mogan vor Anker liegt.<\/p>\n
Das U-Boot selbst, welches in Finnland erbaut wurde, hat eine L\u00e4nge von 18 m, eine Breite von 4 m, wiegt 103 t und wird von sechs hochmodernen Elektromotoren mit je 20 PS angetrieben.<\/p>\n
Die Tauchfahrt dauert etwa 40 Minuten und verl\u00e4uft in einer Tiefe von 18-20 m. Dabei f\u00fchrt sie entlang der k\u00fcnstlichen Korallenriffe \u201eLa Atlantida\u201c und zwei Fischerbooten, welche vor vielen Jahren in dieser Region gesunken sind. Das k\u00fcnstliche Riff wurde zur Regenerierung des Meeresbodens in einem gesch\u00fctzten Gebiet von ca. 3000 m\u00b2 mit dem Ziel angelegt, einen wahren Zufluchtsort f\u00fcr Fische und andere Meeresbewohner zu schaffen. Aus diesem Grund sind die Tauchfahrten limitiert und werden entsprechend \u00fcberwacht.<\/p>\n
Nach dem Auftauchen bleibt ihnen noch freie Zeit im wundersch\u00f6nen Hafen \u201ePuerto Mogan\u201c, mit seinen kleinen Gassen, Gesch\u00e4ften, Caf\u00e9s und Restaurants.<\/p>\n
