Brijuni sind eine Inselgruppe bestehend aus zwei gr\u00f6\u00dferen und zw\u00f6lf kleineren Inselchen, die vor der Westk\u00fcste Istriens, unweit von Pula, gelagert sind.<\/p>\n
Die gesamte Fl\u00e4che betr\u00e4gt nur das sie umgebende Gew\u00e4sser. Deshalb betr\u00e4gt die Gesamtfl\u00e4che des Nationalparks 36 km\u00b2.<\/p>\n
Die Brijuni Inseln sind f\u00fcr ihre \u00fcppige und gepflegte mediterrane Vegetation bekannt, gestaltet teilweise wie ein Landschaftspark und teilweise wie ein Safaripark. Abgesehen von der traumhaften Landschaft und der wundersch\u00f6nen K\u00fcste lockt der historische Safaripark Besucher in den Brijuni Nationalpark, in dem immer noch Elefanten, Zebras, Antilopen, Lamas, Strau\u00dfe, somalische Schafe und indische K\u00fche leben. In einem eigenen Ethno-Park werden auch die charakteristischen Haustiere Istriens vorgestellt (Rinder, Schafe, Ziegen und Esel).<\/p>\n
Die Inselgruppe zeichnet sich auch durch das wertvolle kulturelle Erbe aus r\u00f6mischer und byzantinischer Zeit aus. Wegen ihrer einmaligen Sch\u00f6nheit sind diese Inseln seit \u00fcber 100 Jahren ein beliebter Erholungsort f\u00fcr internationale Staatsoberh\u00e4upter und Aristokraten.<\/p>\n
