Description
One of the most beautiful places in Greece
Black sand and white houses, deep blue sea and gray earth, green fields and dead lava landscape - that is Santorini.
Santorini, the most beautiful Greek island, is 110 kilometers north of Crete. The volcanic island is really only a stone's throw away from Crete by speedboat - you drive around 2 hours from Heraklion and around 2½ from Rethymnon. The speedboat ride alone is a special experience. As you enter the harbor, you have an overwhelming view of the steep crater wall with its typical white houses that glow in the sunlight.
Splendidly colored deposits of pumice stone and Santorin soil clearly show the course of the great volcanic eruption, during which around three quarters of the island sank into the sea around 3.500 years ago. This catastrophe also led to the demise of the Minoan culture in Crete. It is speculated that Santorini was the fabulous Atlantis.
You have around 9 hours to discover Santorini with us. Steep cliffs and breathtaking views are waiting for you here. In its wild beauty, Santorini cannot be compared to any other island in the Aegean.
This excursion is especially recommended because of the combination of a boat trip and a visit to the most beautiful Greek island.
