Description
A fantastic hike
Along the Levada do Rei to the Ribeiro Bonito – the beautiful river, as the torrent that feeds the King’s Levada is called.
A dreamy hike along a perennially green water channel. The hike is flat and leads deep into the Ribeiro Bonito valley.
You're surrounded by wonderfully lush green vegetation. The path is mostly partially shaded. Initially lined with eucalyptus trees, you'll then hike through laurel forests. Magnificent views down into the green valley await you time and time again. Along the way there is a small natural shower (depending on the weather) at a waterfall that crosses the levada.
The destination of the hike is the torrent that feeds the Levada. A stream that makes its way into the valley amidst almost tropical vegetation. This place is almost magical. Stay here in complete silence and let nature work its magic on you!
One of the most beautiful levada walks in Madeira that you shouldn't miss.
