Every year in May, Madeira is full of flowers.
Streets, floats, costumes, children with single flowers – the Festa da Flor is the most visually spectacular festival on the island and one of the most photographed events in the Atlantic.
In 2026, the festival will take place from April 30th to May 24th, with one significant change: For the first time, there will be two separate allegorical parades:

Parade 1: on May 3rd and Parade 2: on May 17th on Avenida do Mar approx. 16:00 h. On May 10th, there will also be a vintage car parade on Avenida do Mar at approximately... 16:30 hours instead.
