Description
Mystical nature in the north of Tenerife
On this varied and contrasting journey, you will get to know the northeast of the island in mini-vans.
Just a few kilometers after the descent you will reach the Mirador de Humboldt viewpoint. The great German natural scientist Alexander von Humboldt sits loosely on the wall as a sculpture. From here you have a spectacular view of the Orotava Valley and Puerto de la Cruz.
During some free time, explore La Laguna, the former capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue your journey through the current capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, to a photo stop at the famous, bright sandy beach of Playa de las Teresitas.
They cross the Anaga Mountains, the oldest mountain range in Tenerife. This spectacular volcanic formation is home to some of the world's most important and oldest laurel forests, tree heaths, and cacti, forming a nature reserve of inestimable value. Here, the weather is shaped by the northeast trade winds, which are vital for the island's survival.
You will have lunch in Taganana, one of the oldest settlements on the island. At the Pico del Ingles viewpoint you have a breathtaking view of the entire Anaga Mountains, Santa Cruz and Teide.
We continue through the Mercedes forest to Tacoronte, where we enjoy a small wine tasting. Afterwards we drive back to Puerto de la Cruz.
