Art and culture, a wonderful sandy beach and a unique fairytale forest
Enjoy this unique journey through the oldest and most untouched part of Tenerife. Discover pure nature and let yourself be enchanted by the unique fairytale forest.
You'll travel by minivan to the historic university city of La Laguna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. Enjoy some free time to explore the lively market hall and the typical Canarian colonial houses. Afterwards, the journey continues through the Mercedes Forest up to the Anaga Mountains. This mountain range was formed approximately 7 to 9 million years ago and is among the oldest landforms on the island.
After exploring the fairytale forest, the drive continues on the north side of the island to the original village of Taganana, where you will have a fresh fish lunch (meat or vegetarian option).
After lunch, it goes on the east coast along the beautiful sandy Sahara beach of Playa de las Teresitas and through the young capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife to Candelaria, the most important Catholic pilgrimage site in the Canary Islands. There you will visit the Black Madonna in the basilica before returning to your hotel.
