Description
In El Djem you will visit the Roman Amphitheater, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. It is the third largest amphitheater in the world and is very well preserved.
The outer walls, which are divided by the arcades, are still up to 40 meters high. Between 30 and 000 residents found space in the 40 meter long and 000 meter wide interior.
A visit to the beautifully landscaped archaeological museum is also on the program. There you can admire the magnificent Roman mosaics and the foundations of Roman villas that have been excavated here.
