Hike along the Levada and mix your own Poncha!

The Levada and the Poncha – both are an integral part of Madeira.

Enjoy a leisurely hike along a levada above Caniçal. The trail winds through green mountains, offering constant views of the village of Caniçal and the beautiful São Lourenço peninsula. You'll learn about agriculture on Madeira and the basics of making poncha.

With breathtaking views of the peninsula's cliffs, you'll (with assistance) make your own poncha. It tastes best with fresh ingredients and after all the hard work.
