Discover Madeira's valley of scents, colors and traditions!

On this beautiful hike you will experience spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, green fields, banana plantations and some of Madeira's traditional houses and buildings.

If you are lucky, you will meet farmers who are happy to share their agricultural experiences with tourists.

The route passes through the Campanário and Ribeira Brava areas and the views at the end of the walk are simply breathtaking.

It is a beautiful, sun-drenched walk through a rich cultural landscape, all year round. You will cross the valley of Quinta Grande and Campanário. The houses are decorated with dahlias or pumpkins, depending on the season, and the smell of wood fires is in the air.

Moderate difficulty level – approx. 7 km – duration approx. 2,5-3 hours
