Levada hike in the Valley of the Mimosas

One of the most beautiful levada walks leads you through lush green vegetable terraces into remote valleys with fantastic views of the Maroços valley and the northeast coast of the island.

They pass lovingly landscaped gardens, a mimosa and acacia grove, and learn about exotic fruits such as passion fruit, guava, and anona.
A special highlight awaits you in spring, when numerous white and blue flowers of the African love flower (Agaphantus) accompany the path.
